Hi everyone, I’m a newbie to Traeger and pellet grilling. Not new to grilling or smoking. I have two Kamados. Looking forward from learning from everyone.

Welcome! You’re going to find a lot of great information and many great folks willing to share their knowledge and experience. I’m fairly new to pellet cooking/smoking for a little over a year and have had (still have) a BGE for about 25 years or so. The one main downside to the pellet smoker is its lacking the smoke flavor if you’re probably used to. However the ease of using the Traeger is winning me over. I use smoke tubes and getting decent results as well as consistent cooks. We here are picture hungry so post up some pictures and details.

Welcome from Austin! Congrats on the new Traeger. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on how it compares to the Kamados.

So far, the only comparable is the smoke but the comparison is not fair. I've only had two cooks on the Traeger. When I have more cooks under my belt, I come back and provide an update.
