Just got my 22 pro series today. Smoked chocolate chip cookies, cream cheese and a chicken today. I finally made the moved from off set smokers. Looking forward to learning more on my traeger.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Traeger! How did everything come out?
 
So much easier than a off set smoker. Food was great. I thought it needed a touch more smoke flavor. I will try lower temp cook today. I see I can add a smoke tube with pellets and wood chips. The smoke daddy heat diffuser that can hold wood also looks interesting. I probably will not get rid of my off set smoker. I believe it still fits a niche of stronger smoke flavor. Still very happy with my pellet grill/smoker and look forward to future cooking.
 
Welcome! Yeah definitely keep that offset if you have certain meats that you need a good amount of smoke. I use a smoke tube and a smoke box and find it good for ribs and chicken but I use my egg for butts and pork loin’s. The Traeger is very simple especially compared to offsets. I hated my Traeger at first but was dedicated to finding things I like on it. You’ve come to the right place, so many great folks here that share so much knowledge. Post up some pictures of the cooks you do.
