"A steak rub featuring a blend of sea salt, garlic, and spices brings out the best in your beef, while a chimichurri sauce mix finishes it all off with flair and flavor. Plus, specially-crafted hardwood pellet blend boasts bold flavors to give your steaks that perfect wood-fired flavor."

Anyone going to give the new Traeger Steak Pellet Kit a try?

Probably not for me. I really like a good steak, but I don't want to change the taste with a lot of flavorings. I use my Weber for steaks. Lump charcoal and a few chunks of Hickory to provide a little more smoke taste. The way I season my steaks is kosher salt and fresh ground pepper and a couple small chunks of butter. I have tried some pellet blends that have mesquite and the mesquite seems to override the other ingredients in the mix. I think mesquite is good for some proteins but I use it sparingly. I smoked a pork butt on my Traeger using a mesquite mix and it came out very well. I guess the bottom line is I don't want to lose the taste and flavor my steaks by using to many ingredients. Just me.
