upgrading from a Junior I had for about 8 years, scored a brand new Texas elite 780 for a couldn’t pass up price.
It has the old school controller (red Led) and was wondering if I bought the newer one with the blue LED would it run better? Grill was struggling to stay above 400 on high. Going to try different

also, if I upgraded the fan to a 2.5 RPM, would it throw off these controllers ? Like at 300 would it stay around 200 or go haywire?
my old junior would run hotter, say around 420-450 which crisped up whole chickens real nice and that’s what I was missing.
