Hi all!
I purchased an Ironwood 885 last spring and it was running great since then.
Last week when I plugged it in after not using it (powered off, unplugged, covered) for about 3 weeks, the back power switch suddenly started to flicker and then die. I thought maybe it was a cord, so I replaced it with the same required cord.
Again, same thing. Flickers, then dies. We did a power cycle on it and then let it sit plugged in for about a hour which somehow worked (we had 20 lbs of bacon to smoke) and it ran for 6 hours just fine. I went to use it again a few days after doing the proper shut down, power off/ unplugged with new cord, and now it’s doing it again.
We checked the breaker and outlet and even had the breaker replaced thinking it may be that, but no such luck. We also tried different outlets, with the same result.
Questions:
-has anyone had this issue before with the 885? It’s hard to find much info on them to troubleshoot.
-is this possibly a fuse issue in the control panel? Does it even have a fuse to replace like the older models?
