Did you get the sear station for the TL?, if so what temp do you now sear at ?
I'm getting good sear marks at 450F

There are more than a few reports of aluminum foil melting when the grill is running at 500 degrees - one suggestion is to just use a single layer of heavy duty aluminum foil over the drip tray when running at that temp ...

Now that I'm using the GrillGrates I don't go above 450 much, but even at 450-480F I am consistently melting HD Foil single sheets, regardless of which side is up. It only melts on the left side and it may be due to my insulation mods, allowing maybe greater initial heat spikes since there are far less heat leaks.

Even under 500F, the drip pan is so hot that when I open the grill and spray oil the grates, it creates a white fog that immediately bursts into flame

I just ordered a thin sheet of stainless (26ga) and will be making up a baffle to clip under the drip pan on the left side. This will hopefully give more even heat, and lower the drip pan temp to stop foil melting and flare-ups.

This will be interesting.
