Traeger does not make an insulated cover for the Renegade Elite. Has anyone found an aftermarket insulated cover for this grill?

Just a word of caution. From past experience. The smoke and greasy exhaust leaks around the edges of the steel lid and gets inside the cover unless you have a good sealing material around the lid. The previous owner of my unit thought that leaving it on would speed up the smoking process. When I received mine and removed the cover, the inside was covered in oily residue and was burnt on the gold lid and the cover. It was so nasty that the insulating cover went directly in the trash. I added a good sealing strip around the cover edges and if I need to insulate it I use a welding blanket. Just something to check on an occasional basis especially if you haven't sealed the steel cover.

Are you sure that you could not put the shelf back on it? It seems like there would be some clearance there, unless the blanket is really thick? My Lil Tex did not come with a shelf, so I made one, and mine will clear the blanket, as soon as I change the handle to an 18" version. (real old Lil Tex)

Thanks, I will check the cover for leakage. I have to say, with the cover on in the cold weather, the grill has no problem maintaining the temperature setpoint. I used to have to set it for 375 and it barely made 350, but with the cover, it holds 350 easily when set to 350.
