I'm done with the traeger probe. What are the go-to meat probes that work with my phone?

I think it is time to bite the bullet and buy some real probes. I want something that can send signals wirelessly to an app on my phone. What is the best bang for the buck, and what is the best products out there?

edit:
Thermoworks X2?
I had always use Weber Grills until I got my first Traeger. Before I was able to calibrate my Traeger probe, I use the Webber probes which I got for Christmas a few years ago and use the Webber app. They have always worked for me and have lasted lost in a long time

I have had a Weber igrill for years and it never lets me down. I use it inside when I’m cooking as well as in the Traeger. It has a great app, you can track easily and even alerts you when you are within 10 degrees of your setting.

Fireboard 2 and Competition Series Probes are serving me well.

I've been using the Thermopro TP20 for some time now. They are easy and flexible to use and have a life time warranty on the probes

How do you keep the cords from tangling with the Inkbird? Or are there other brands that have solved this problem?

the X2 won't go to your phone. You'll need the thermoworks signals.

Or a Meater +
Or a Fireboard

I have a Thermoworks X4. I did not want a phone app, I wanted a dedicated remote. It's all personal preference.

Been offline for a few months. My fault. I've now gone to Meater. Got the 4 probe block. They are good too. I still use my GrillEye in addition to the Meater if I'm cooking several pieces/types of meat.

Sometimes my cooks look like the Trinity Device with all the wires.

That's exactly my set up. I works like a charm

With the Fireboard competition probes, you are still encumbered by wires.

I like to monitor the internal temperatures of multiple items during the cook and move them around in the chamber to insure they cook at similar rates. The wires tend to tangle when I try to do that. Wireless thermometers would avoid that issue.

I am sure the Meater wireless probes are good, but I am not so sure I want to spend $350 to get a block with 4 Meater probes.

I've been looking at the ThermoPro TempSpike wireless thermometers as a possible alternative to Meater, but I have not made any decision.

I use the 4 Meater probe

I have a thermopro that cost around $55 then I was given a Fireboard (luckily because I wouldn’t have bought it) they are both very accurate. The wires aren’t that big of a deal, especially if you have the front shelf on your grill. That $50 one works as good as the $300 in my opinion.

The most critical thing is accuracy. Everything else is just bells and whistles. Many people like plotting the temperature, but even if I had a Fireboard, I probably would not bother. I only care about the end game.

I have the Meater 4 probe block.
PROS:
- flexibility for multiple meats, cookness
- ease of use
- ambient temp sensor (both my Silverton wifire sensors register 10-20 degrees F lower), and you can learn the hotter parts of the grill
- calculation of when to take off and how long to rest - no more looking up multiple recipes etc.
CONS:
- larger probe leaves hole in meats, cant be used for thin cuts
- connection to the block is touchy - need block CLOSE to Traeger
- larger up front cost
