The Traeger probe we all know is lousy but using an accurate probe like the themo probe 1 how accurate is the meater?

Meater advertises, Calibrated within +/- 1°F in the internal sensor. Can't verify this but is what Meater states.

I recently got two MEATER Plus probes and although I’ve only used them a couple times, I find the meat side of the probe to be very accurate but the ambient end isn’t. I really like the app, easy to use and understand. Although I can’t really complain because they was given to me but if I was buying I would get the block with the four probes and WiFi. MEATER claims the Bluetooth range to be 165’ but it’s not, I’ve done good to get less than 100’.

I have a Meater and I liked it fine. The probe is the size of a # pencil though. I don’t use it anymore though. It cost me more than the InkBird, isn’t wifi and only has one probe (2 I suppose if you trust the ambient)

Ive used meater probes even before I had a smoker. Never an issue for me. I trust the ambient solely because I've never had a "failed cook", temp-wise, after probably 200+ times using it. I'm sure other probes work well..I got the meaters as a fathers day gift so I'm sticking with them.
