Hauling a Timberline 1300

Hey Ted, good to see the mask, keep it up. In Australia we only have 44 active cases and in the last 24 hours zero, apart from 2 that were acquired overseas
You are lucky, people are masked up everywhere I go here in So Calif but the numbers continue to roll.

They are now talking covid test before any domestic flights, yet are now releasing thousands of undocumented immigrants storming our southern border into our country, with a court date, and no covid test.

Hope is not a plan.

That said, I like my latest model!

The Ace bought from also delivered fully assembled. Same retail price as other suppliers for me to haul it home. I did have to pay a nominal delivery charge because I was slightly out of their free delivery zone but it was well worth it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went back to the Ace where I looked at the Timberline 1300 and the manager told me if you are spending that much money on a grill I will delivery it for free and give you 2 bags of pellets and it doesn't matter how far you live from here. :). So it is being delivered Saturday. (y)

Thanks again for all of your suggestions

Wow! That's awesome service!

I bought from my local ACE, was on a list for the new Timberlines, didn't get anything extra. I misjudged the weight, just told them to toss the box in my jeep. I had to take it apart in the back of the car to get it light enough to handle myself. Assembled it on its back and had to call a friend to help me stand it up!

Ha ha, that's what I thought, my girls had other opinions, none good.
So what are you charging to make them?

My Pro780 was assembled, a floor model on sale at Home Depot. They delivered it free. Tough part was wheeling it around the back of the house. They don't roll well on grass. Fortunately the lawn guy was there and boosted it up on the deck of his mower and helped get it to the back patio.

RemE... same here, Ace used a fork lift to slide my T1300 into the back of the truck ( that should have given me a hint...) I live on a hill, I broke the 1300 down into components as small as possible then used a moving blanket and cardboard as a base and built it back up

We bought ours at an ACE Hardware ~15mi from our house. It was assembled already and they were happy to deliver it to the house!
Good on you - I’ve got an Ace down 4 miles down the road that won’t deliver. Guess I’m gonna buy from somebody else and maybe just do a home delivery and then put it together myself. Ace is real hit or miss - around here anyway.

This was my story also….
