Excellent choice. Larger pieces of meat are a lot more forgiving than small cuts. It is almost impossible to ruin a pork shoulder unless you undercook it. As long as the butt gets hot enough to render the fat and connective tissue, it should turn out great. My wife found some pulled pork in the freezer. We are reheating it for tonights dinner.
