Grill Error Flame Out

Doing chicken skerwers tonight. 15 minutes into my cook, I get this message on my phone.

My pellet bin is not empty, though I can see the tunneling due to the hopper design flaw begin, but still no hole to the auger.

Update. I vaccuumed out the IW885 today. Not much ash and I could see pellets in the auger tube.

I will chalk this up to having less than 1/2 a hopper full and Traeger's poor design that causes pellet tunneling.

Has anyone tried lining the bottom of the hopper with UHMW or PTFE?

I posted quite a while back about using a real slick surface tape, almost pulled the trigger but have never needed it actually.

Using Super Slick Tape in Hopper

I knew I had read a post somewhere about it. I was just wasn't able to find it.

I'm just glad that my IW885 hopper has a better design than my old Jr. (flat bottom).

Not much. B&B Championship blend is pretty good on dust. $14.99 for 40# at Buc-ee’s and Academy.
