Food thermometer

Hello,

I have a TFS81PZD and my meat probe thermometer doesn’t work any more. It won’t even turn on.

Any idea where I should start to fix it?

I assume you mean the probe that came with the grill? My advise would be to toss it and buy something like the Ink Bird BBQ thermometer off Amazon. They have a bluetooth version for around $50 and a wireless for $69. Fire Bird 2 is a great one as well but more $$.

I would also get a good instant read thermometer, as well. Something like the Thermoworks is the "gold standard" but if your budget doesn't allow then look for a javelin, also on Amazon. I have one of these and have had good luck with it.

This is a great one/two punch - Ink Bird for monitoring cooks and instant read to verify internal temp as you near or achieve desired temp.

Both are more accurate and you can check temp from the smart phone app (from anywhere if you have the wifi model) using the Ink Bird.

Honestly, the Traeger supplied probe probably wasn't accurate anyway.
