I spent $4K on an XL almost a year ago and have had nothing but problems which Traeger did nothing to resolve. The biggest problem was the temperature setting which is highly inaccurate. I had to use a Fireboard ambient temperature probe to confirm my suspicions (see photo). The smoker was off by more than 100 degrees if set for 300, Traeger would not accept any 3rd party ambient readings to prove their grill was malfunctioning. They had 2 service reps in The Phoenix area with 5 million residents who lived in very outlying areas. These techs refused to travel to my area which is right next to Phoenix so nobody would come out to verify the issue. I ended up shit-canning the smoker and bought a Yoder YS640s and had them haul the Traeger away. This Chinese made grill cuts every corner. I will never buy another Traeger.
