The residue is all over my Traeger, not the pellet tube. There are lots of nooks and crannies that are difficult to clean - and I don't want to have to spend a considerable amount of time cleaning each time I smoke.

I used the tube at Christmas on a Brisket. 6 hour cook before I pulled it, no sticky mess anywhere. Sounds like maybe your pellets? Also, it was cold out so I wrapped the grill with a welding blanket. If the smoke hits the side of a cold box it will not dissipate out the chimney, so maybe the sides of the smoker are too cool. More likely the pellets though.I do not, but my Traeger no longer leaves my food with a smoky flavor. I am awaiting a solution from Traeger. In the meantime, I am using a pellet tube and that leaves a horrible, sticky mess everywhere. It even runs down the front of the grill.
Morning from Georgia. I have had nothing but compliments with everything also. I am going to purchase a 6" A-Maze-N tube this morning. Specs say about 2 hrs. smoke and I was curious if that would add a difference on a rib cook or should I go with a 12" tube. I'm on a Pro 575 also and curious where the best position would be for placement.Well they work pretty freaking good in a Traeger but suit yourself, we all here have regular smokers also, and I've been smoking meat for 20 years before I got a Traeger so I know what "smoke flavor" you are talking about but I like it when my wife says the meals off my Traeger are the best she's ever had, that makes it worth it.
