Regrets to all who may read this about the negativity found here-in, but after a several months of not being able to get this appliance to perform properly, I guess my fuse has gotten a bit short. Below is the content of a letter I've sent to the folks in Salt Lake City.

I'm hoping others find greater success with their Traeger Grills than I have found with mine...

Greetings,

I am writing to request instructions regarding the return of my defective Ironwood 650 to the factory. The grill was given to me as a gift in May of 2022. Having replaced the thermo-coupler and now, the control panel; and having regularly cleaned the interior as directed by the kind folks at customer service, the unit still will not rise to the desired temperature without eclipsing it by 50 to 70%. Further, the new control panel will not sync with my iPhone. A review of records on my unit will outline the repeated concerns.

Know that a further frustration involves the fact that the address [email protected] goes to an unmonitored mailbox.

I no longer have the time nor the patience to continue to contend with this product.

At your earliest convenience, kindly send instructions for return and arrange for pick up at my home address.

I will not be requesting a replacement.

Regards,

Thanks for sharing your issue with the community here. Hopefully you put that on their official social media page (Facebook) or physically mailed a copy to them.
This website and forum is not affiliated with Traeger other than being a peer to peer user support group. Just a bunch of like minded people with grills that enjoy sharing and helping one another.
There may be someone on here that has had success with contact via email support, but most have dealt with the same unmonitored address you have already.

Yep. The content of the letter was sent directly to Traeger via snail mail. I was so looking forward to enjoying my 650 and am quite disappointed in my particular units track record. Hoping others have enjoyed greater success...

Have you tried the Live Chat option on their website? You're more likely to get a response that way.

Any idea which retailer the grill was purchased from?

I’m sorry to hear that you went to the same problems I had with Traeger. I had two pro 575 that couldn’t keep temperature. Then they sent me an Ironwood 650. It couldn’t keep temperatures. Got my money back and bought a Recteq. you’re not sounding negative. You’re just disclosing the facts. With me it went on for six months trying to get my temperature issues fixed. After sending me parts and trying a few firmware downloads still didn’t fix the issue. They’ve had this issue ever since they came out with their new series with wi fire. They have an issue they can’t fix and I was told that by corporate office good luck.

I have had the same problems with my Traeger, I will not be purchasing another. Support is responsive which is impressive however their ability to solve problems for me have been null.
