Clean that firepot!!! Year Maintenance

How long before someone fabricates an after-market Stainless Steel Firepot? I support Traeger adding 1 dollar to cover SS material for the firepot construction. Sadly the Timberline 1300 MSRP would have raise from 2000 to 2001 USD.

I am still waiting for a RemE inspired insulation kit with pre-cut jigsaw pieces. :ROFLMAO: This would empower me to order the kit before moving up to the Timberline 1300. Then I would have to put together a surface thermocouple with a WiFi signal system app so I could monitor the low exterior surface temperature while also monitoring the inside chamber temper and protein temps.

This is a well formed group that can pay too much attention to details and in the end become overly obsessive and may be annoying to others. I am fitting in well here.

I have had my Pro 575 for just over two months, so when I examined it there was no rust. Nevertheless, I pulled out the firepot and oiled it as Slim suggested. I was relieved that the screws came off easily.

Yes, there are many obsessives here, myself included!

Well, I'm glad you checked, at least now you know even how to do it, but my warning wasn't for newer grills for the most part. Mine was 'born' in July of last year but didn't start use till I got it in early Sept.
Anyway, I think this should be maybe a yearly check or a 6 month check if you are a heavy user (Timmy)
I will keep an eye on mine now probably seasonal, spring/fall
