Do I have to empty the hopper every time i'm done cooking?

No, I’ve done it twice since June 2020.

What pellets do you use?

I use PB and Bear Mountain. Once my PB are gone just using Bear Mountain. PB leaves a lot of ash on long cooks.

Mine is pretty close to Timmy, my difference is that I clean out the hopper down to the Auger if I am going to change Pellets'.
The Auger will flush the old pellets' by the timed it gets up to temp...

I also do the same.
