Can’t win

I NEVER "flip" ANY meat I cook

See, I knew it!!!! Switz, don't over think it man... just know your hot spots and cook... and note: every time you open the lid you lose up to 10 minutes worth of cooking and sometimes meat even drops in temp while Traeger catches up again.

I had a Silverton 810 prior to my Timberline 1300, I returned it to Costco (without the box) In fact they had 5 guys come out to take it out of the Truck, no issues (though I had the Receipt). It would be nice if Costco sold the Timberlines but I had to go to ACE to get one out of Stock. ACE had a guy with a fork lift put it in the back of the truck (getting it out was painful, but I got it done) I would not expect the kind of service that I got at Costco at ACE , though they have Pellet's and accessories ( which can be found cheaper elsewhere).
I have been most happy with the 1300, though I did the "RemE Insulation project "on it, now the lid rarely gets over 100 even when the Grill is at 450. though I still have a temp gradient Left to Right it is controlled and can be worked with.
You will need a Fireboard or similar to map the gradient.

The 885 has a second story rack that can be used towards the back half of the grill. I wonder if I used it for one rack of ribs and put the other two below on the main grill, all three centered left to right, that I would have good results or would the upper level get over cooked?
