I am having issues with the Auger packing up with pellets and causing the Auger motor to stop. I have replaced the induction fan, controller, fire box, Hot rod and the Auger motor. I cleaned the pit extensively, including the auger hosing and made sure the auger was not warped. All connectors were reconnected correctly. The pit will start and run for around 20-30 minutes, before the temp starts to drop, which is due to the auger not turning. The auger motor fan is also not turning, but if you turn it by hand you can feel that it is still on. I totally cleaned out the auger housing and removed a little debris, but an suspicious if there may be a hole (holes) in the tunnel that the auger spins in. Maybe pellets are building up because of that. Has anyone ever encountered this possibility. Pit is only 2 1/2 years old. A bit disappointed that it is not more durable.

What pellet are you using??? Any 'charcoal' pellet has been known to do this so if that's what you have then stop using them.

Using the Traeger branded Pecan pellets. It's done this with various flavors. Also the auger makes a popping sound at times.
