Thanks JamesB. I have installed a ty-wrap to eliminate that possibility. It was still plugged in as far as I could engage it. It could be a faulty plug and socket. If that's the case I'll have to bypass them and hard wire the cord in place. I have another long cook coming this weekend to check this fix out.

Another android app update. Not sure what bugs were addressed and what enhancements were made, seems to be a generic statement for updates
