Aftermarket Temperature Probes

It’s been awhile since my last post. So Traeger bought Meater probes? I see they have it on sale for Fathers Day for $80 & $88. $20 savings. I already have 2 Inkbirds I bought when I starting smoking. Do I need Meater to go along with my Inkbirds and ThermoWorks One & Dot? Or would I be wasting my $$’s.

I’ve got two Meater Plus probes, as well as wired ones. I really like the Meater for it being wireless. The ambient end isn’t really accurate until later in the cook so I use one of my wired therm pro for my ambient temp. I’ve only used the Meaters a few times so I’m still trying to figure out why the ambient end isn’t dependable but the actual cooking temp part is spot on and I really like the app. So easy to use.
