Hi all

been doing some reading and trying to find out two things:

1) cannot seem to find an insulated blanket for the woodridge pro. one site recommended a welders blanket?

2) cooking in winter in Canada—any concerns if the cooker is left outside under a cover?

thanks for advice to the noob

Traeger does not produce official covers for any of their grills that lack smokestacks. The vent is on the back of the barrel. You can fashion a suitable cover from welder's blankets, but make sure you do not block the vents on the back of the unit. You can purchase large magnets to hold the blankets in place during the cook.

yes to the welding blanket, as you see in my profile pic, they're fireproof, well made and durable. I use my smoker lots in the winter, takes longer to preheat obviously. I also cook at higher temps than usually recommended.
