Hello,

We have recently released a new version of our Android app that we believe will improve the consistency of your grilling experience. Our latest version (3.1.3) is now available for download, please make sure you update this app version before your next cook.

Thanks for being a part of the Traegerhood.

Will it work? It's still Android so probably not.

I have 1300 bought it Feb 20th this year. Today was the first cook that I have been able finish without it sleeping on the job. I hope the new app will continue to work.

Since you can run your Traeger WITHOUT the app on (or even with no app) then I don't get all this BS about sleep during cooking.

It's simple. WiFi control was a big selling point of these grills and a premium was charged for it. To have it not work as advertised is far from BS. Besides, 76% of all cell phones in the world run on Android. If your app won't run smoothly on that system then statistically your app is a huge failure.

I havent smoked anything yet where I put it in and then went to bed. I dont think I'd fall asleep thinking about it

I believe in the US the numbers heavily lean to iOS. Doesn’t make your point invalid and I do realize people can use Traegers in other countries.

I only had one issue with my 780 pro on an all night cook, it ran completely out of pellets around 4 am. I’ve done several cook’s after without any issues. I do fill the hopper to the top and it’s been fine. A good third party temperature control monitor as well as the Traeger wifire, I sleep right on. I’ll put butts on around 11pm then when I check at 6:30 or so next morning I add more pellets and wait until it they hit about 200, then wrap and in the cooler. Cook complete then I clean my grates while they are good and warm. So simple!
