My grill (Silverton 620) just updated to version 02.02.00. Does anybody know what will be different?

Thanks. I was just curious if anybody knew what the changes are.
Someone on FB was raising the issue of the "unexpected shutdown" issue resurfacing after they received the update (ala the May 2020 Update release) ... so there may be a Christmas surprise lurking in terms of a BUG regression ...

Decided to reach out to Traeger Customer Service via their "Chat Session" feature again to see what I could find out ... In chat session for about an hour ... waiting on email follow-up outlining/detailing what is "new/fixed/improved" in Firmware Update 02.02.00 ... it became apparent during the chat session that support (more than likely I was dealing with an outsource partner versus a Traeger FTE) has been given ZERO information on the new Firmware Update release, and if I had to bet, this particular support representative seemed to be unaware that there was a new version installing on D2 WiFIRE Controllers within the past 36+ hours ... they don't seem to know who to go to internally to get the information in a timely manner ... that previous job posting for a Content Management position and a Knowledgebase Administrator are hopefully filled and they are ramping up ... if they were already actively in-place, I would hope that the RELEASE LOG & Release Note entries for an update would be set to go "live" simultaneously via the WiFIRE Status Page with the backend release of the actual update(s) as they start to PUSH down to the WiFIRE Controllers ...

During my time in the Chat Session waiting for feedback, I was asked about registering my PRO 780 ... I thought that was strange for the following reasons:
  • PRO 780 was bought directly from Traeger during Black Friday 2019
  • PRO 780 delivered mid-Dec 2019
  • PRO 780 registered online via Traeger Website back in Feb 2020 when WiFIRE was setup
  • Traeger had the correct info for Registered Owner, EMail Address, Physical Address, and Warranty Dates listed "on file"
  • Traeger had incorrect info for the Grill UUID value (the value they had stored was not even close to correct ...)
  • From what I was able to gather, Traeger had no S/N record "on file"
  • There is no linkage between Grill UUID value & S/N - which makes sense given that the Grill UUID is tied to the WiFIRE Controller and it can be replaced as a Service Part
  • I suspect they may have had a data integrity issue crop up internally, because they should have had the correct info "on file" ... it might be worth having them verify if/when you are in contact with Traeger Support in the future ... the Chat Session feature is a nice way to do this without having to sit "on hold" waiting for a representative to take the call ...
Will update again if I receive the promised EMail response :) ...

Thanks for the info. I did get an iOS update today as well.
Got a reply from Traeger:

The latest firmware updates were to help out at our backend so that we could get more information from the grill for connectivity and other technical issues.
