I have a new Gen-1 Timberline. Grease doesn’t drain properly. The liner has grease pooling as well as the metal tray. Is there a fix for this?

I do the same way. It’s much easier to clean up and I can add some water or apple cider in the pan for moisture control too.I have an Ironwood 885, not a Timberline. I rarely need the space on the bottom grate for cooking. I place my food on the top grate and place a foil lined baking pan on the bottom grate to catch all the drippings. When the pan needs cleaning, I remove the foil and throw it away and add a new piece. I never collect any greese in my grease chute or bucket.
If cooking something such as a turkey that is so large that it does not fit on the top rack, I will place a baking rack inside the baking pan and place the turkey on the rack. The pan will still catch all the drippings.
I literally created an account because I could not figure out what was going on with mine. I bought it second hand and was already assembled. Turns out my grease tray was in upside down, it fits really nice either way so easy to do!!! Flipped it over and works perfectly and doesn’t shift around if I move the grill.I have a new Gen-1 Timberline. Grease doesn’t drain properly. The liner has grease pooling as well as the metal tray.
