Grill
unknown model 10 yrs old
Replaced RTD probe (3rd one) and temperature reading on led will show about 130, actual temp in box is approx 375. The old rtd was off by 75-80 degrees, new one is even worse. Any ideas? Junkyard is quickly becoming option.

It is common for the TRD probes to be off 20-50 degrees, but being off as more than 200F is highly unusual. It might be that the controller is bad.

Are you the original owner of this 10year old grill? It is well beyond the warranty period. If you cannot identify the grill model, it might be difficult getting a replacement controller.

I would try changing the hot rod too. It's a cheap part. But you'll need to know the model to order one. If you post a few pictures, we might be able to help.

Yes, I'm the original owner. It's low hours due to the probe issues, maybe the controlker like you suggested. Bought before retirement and wasn't home to use it much.

Replaced the controller and fixed it. THANK YOU
