Tailgator Display Issue

I have an older Tailgator with what was the 'new' digital control.

Ot has been working well for 3 or 4 years but has developed an issue.

I typically cook at the 225 setting. Now, after intial warm up, the display shows a constant changing of the temp and does not come to temp.

I am assuming the controller has gone bad. Any other ideas?

It could be the rtd. Id change it first as it pretty inexpensive.

Update :

I pulled the unit out and found two small wires at the top left corner loose.

I secured the wires and started up the grill. I ran it for about an hour and it seems better. I'll cook later this week and see what's up.
