I have a newer (digital) Tailgater with no P adjustment option. If I set temp anywhere below 180, I can keep it about 200-210 if I crack the lid partially open by wedging with a stick.
I've read the forums here and recognize the horrible fluctuations, but am wondering if a new controller is warranted.
Today's outside temp was 73 overcast and no wind.
MEATER probe ambient temp roughly matched the smoker temp.
I use fairly new Traeger pellets that I keep sealed in the bag
Any advice is appreciated
