We are new to Traeger. I am smoking a turkey tomorrow. Do you use Super Smoke? How long do you use it? Thank you.

For starters, you can go to the traeger web site, https://www.traeger.com/recipes/ultimate-smoked-turkey. This will give you a good starting point. You can do your own seasonings, I don't like heavy spices on my turkey so I just use butter and a light dusting of kosher salt. Having a temp probe in the thickest part of the breast or thigh will give you a good reading on your progress and cooking time which depends on the weight of your bird. I am sure you will hear more ideas, there are some great chefs on this web site.

I smoke mine at 275 (which means I set the grill closer to 290). I don’t think there is a super smoke option at that temp?

I smoke mine at around 325, and SuperSmoke doesn't work above 225.

I recommend you look into smoke tubes sooner or later. $20 on amazon, fill with wood pellets, light them, place in the grill and they create that powerful smoke flavor that people think the Traeger will give them and you can smoke at any temp. When smoking at a low temp which is most of the time I will use my super smoke and 2 smoke tubes.
