Hi new to the site
In the manual it says cold can hurt the electronics but I don't not have room to store my grill indoors it sits on a covered porch.
My question is has anyone stored there grill outside where it can get -o often down to -50F will it damage the display?

The manual may be referring to operating temperature. When I worked on projects on the North Slope it was always important to distinguish between minimum operating and storage temperatures. Minimum storage temperatures were often lower than operating temperatures. You might try customer service and ask for a clarification but honestly, I would be surprised if they would be able to help.

I attached the instructions for removing the controller. It doesn't look that difficult. It looks like 4 screws and a grounding nut. My suggestion would be to remove the controller and store it inside until time for smoking , that way the controller isn't exposed to those extreme cold temps. Might sound silly but 15 minutes of your labor is lot less expensive than a new controller. Hope this was of some help.

Thank you for the link looks easy enough
