Well, not the cook but the "spatchcocking"!

I was trying to do too many things at once and just in a brain fog...cut the breastbone out instead of the backbone! Duh! So now we're having turkey halves for dinner!! :D

I'm sure it will all cook the same and it's just me, my wife and my vegetarian daughter so I'm not too hung up on presentation.

You should be fine, I'm doing mine in the morning, without enough coffee I might make the same mistake, who knows?
Only taking 1 of the halves to my nieces anyway, maybe I'll try it your way!!! 😲 :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Supposedly, the best way to slice a turkey is to remove the two breast halves and then slice them across the grain rather than slicing meat off the entire turkey which means the breast is sliced with the grain. If you have already removed the breast bone, even if by accident, your are well on the way to a well sliced turkey.

Okay, I just finished spatchcocking the turkey and it is dry brining in the fridge. Paid extra attention to what I was doing as I am prone to these kinds of fails. Thanks to @Murphy's Law, I avoided it this time!
