I am kinda curious if anyone has both the Spark and the new Thermapen ONE and any pros or cons; specially is the One that much faster than the Spark? I found one review and they seemed pretty close but wanted to see if anyone here has any experience.

I really don't need a new toy but I got an email from Fireboard with their new hats and I want to order one and started thinking if I order a hat I may want to order a Spark, as well!

The Spark works with your regular Fireboard, it's actually a pretty cool accessory when used as a relay to display all your temps outside... easier than even opening the APP and looking that way.

The Thermapen obviously wouldn't integrate with Fireboard so that's the only 'con' I could say.

I have both. I just sold the therma pen
The wifey bought me a fireboard 2 and a spark. The spark is a handy little tool. It records each time u use it in the app. Also u can add a probe and use it like the fireboard. It's pretty sweet when I'm running 1 grill in the front and the T in the back

Well, looks like I have a Spark and a hat coming my way in a few days. Wonder if the wife will notice either one!
Lucky for me, I have a neighbor that intercepts my packages then drops them off at my garage and slowly just add to my collection without the boss noticing.

I have a FireBoard 2 and about 5 or 6 probes already. I will probably use this more as a remote “monitor” during cooks, I imagine.

It's good for that, but it's also good and quicker if cooking something that only requires you to probe the meat and don't care about the pit temp so much.
Like chicken breast, or even a whole chicken. My grill is usually at about 300 and I just watch the meat only. If it don't get done fast enough I just crank up the heat.

I've got a thermoworks smoke and signals, looking at getting the Fireboard 2. Wanting to make sure I understood your post. Do your thermoworks probes work on both the Fireboard 2 and the Spark? Thanks!

I know the wasnt addressed to me but my guess would be that they worked on both since FB2 and Spark use the same probe.

First cook using the Spark and I love this thing. It was great having it on the bar and monitoring temp while I was making other dishes.

And then running down to check temp and having it log was cool.

I give it a thumbs up!
