I have a Traeger 575. There’s no smoke setting. I’m cooking a steak roasts aprox 3 lbs.

The recipe I’m following requires smoke setting 3-4 hours, then braise for 4 hours

If I do the lowest temp of 165 for 3-4 hours as the smoke setting will this cause any issues or reduce my cooking time?

Any help be appreciated as I’m trying to have a finish product for a specific time.

Any cook under 225 will be “smoke setting”. You really don’t get smoke above that set point.

The Ironwood and Timberline series both have a Super Smoke setting which supposedly produces more smoke but even that kicks off at 225.

To get smoke above 225 could you use a smoke tube?

It will increase your cook time.

No
So the smoke tube not only increases the smoke but cook time too?
No, the OP asked if turning the temp down would reduce time, it will increase time because he is cooking at a lower temp.

Edit: The smoke tube will reduce time by a very little as it adds heat to the grill. But not by much.
