Yes, I am new to Traeger. I purchased a gently used 22 pro locally. We have only done 2 cooks. The first was steaks and I did them on low temperature (275 F) for more smoke flavor. Tonight I tried hamburgers at 375 F. After the cook I turned the grill control to shutdown and walked away for about 5 minutes. I came back to check and there was smoke coming out of the pellet storage box. . BTW - I purchased the Traeger liners, so everything should have been completely clean from the topside.
On the steak cook I cleaned the firebox and it was completely clean. I didn't clean it again because I read Traeger's manual and it said 20 hours of use. I guess that was wrong as I googled it and found a lack of airflow. The fan was running through the shutdown cycle normally. This thing was completely clean before the steak cook! What I am doing wrong? Not cleaning the box every time?
