I just noticed something odd on Traeger’s pellet guide: that although neither Cherry, nor Hickory, nor Maple is flagged as being great for seafood, Signature Blend IS flagged as being great for seafood, despite being composed only of Cherry, Hickory, and Maple.

Is this some kind of misprint, or in the opinion of smoking experts do those three woods somehow balance each other out for seafood?

Seafood does not need to have a distinctive wood flavor. By blending several woods, none of the individual species dominates. However, if you like the flavor of one of the species, there is nothing that says you cannot use it. I would tend to think maple would not be overpowering.
