I have no idea whether this Traeger thermometer is good or not, but there are two specifications missing that would cause me to look elsewhere.

1. It does not indicate the accuracy of the thermometer. I want an accuracy or 1 degree F / 0.5 degree C. It indicates that it gives accurate measurements, but does not state the specific accuracy.

2. It does not indicate the response time. I look for a thermometer than responds in 1-3 seconds so I can make multiple checks without leaving the lid open too long. Some thermometers can take 5-10 seconds to provide a stable reading. The Traeger indicates that it gives measurements in seconds, but is that 3 seconds or 30 seconds.

There are many thermometers that meet both of my requirements. Some are even less expensive than the Traeger on sale.
