Traeger Pro Series 34
Hello, have had a Traeger Pro Series 34 for a year or two now and only used a handful of times but last time we attempted to smoke something the unit went crazy and fed pellets non stop creating temps of 475 and higher when it was set to 225. I shutdown everything and cleaned the pellet burner thoroughly just to start again from square one. Set it to 180 but it immediately went back to relentlessly feeding pellets and causing it to run up to 400 plus again before I shut it off. Was wondering if anyone might know what causes this problem and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!

I would contact Traeger Customer Service via messaging on their Facebook Page. They are pretty quick to reply there.

You have a potential fire hazard there and it sounds like a warranty claim.

sounds like the controller is defective.....cant think of anything else it can possibly be

It could possibly be a defective RTD probe.
