Quick and Dirty Pellet Hopper Expansion

Doing an overnight brisket tonight. The Bronson’s hopper won’t run all night without help. It often burrows a hole straight down to the auger. Trying a mod for tonight.

Smashing success! The Bronson went all night long. Ended up going for 11 hours without having to add pellets. The brisket piece was a 3 and 3/4lb piece of round. Seasoned with S&P and a dash of garlic powder. Cooked at 225’ the whole time. Wrapping in paper when it was about 180’. Pulled it off at 200’. Rested in a cooler wrapped in foil. for nearly 4 hours. Still nice and warm. Super tender and juicy

At least it's not Bud Light
It’s been pretty tough pretending that Miller Light tastes as good as Bud Light. There’s several other beers that I can think of they could have promoted. I’ve been drinking BL since it came on the market 😡

I hear you. Can’t stand Miller Lite so I am on a Yuengling Flight kick for now!

Before Bud Light “crossed over”it was the most popular beer in the country so I guess you “offset” the majority of the beer lovers in the country. However at least we have many other brands on the shelves. Just hard to settle for second best!

The original Reinheitsgebot German beer purity law of of 1516 says that bottom fermented beer (lagers) should be made from water, barley malt and hops, nothing else. The law applied in all countries that were part of the Holy Roman Empire. The law was modified in 1993 to allow the addition of yeast, which brewers did not recognize as a component of beer as initially wild yeast from the air and barley was the fermenting agent.

Wheat and rye beers have to be top-fermented ales. German brewers are not allowed to use corn, rice, or millet in beer, period. However, some craft brewers might experiment with various adjuncts.

When I was in college, the alcohol laws in Virginia allowed those between the ages of 18-21 to consume 3.2 beer. It tasted terrible. It had an alcohol content of 3.2% by weight (4% ABV), lower than regular beer. The 3.2 beer never became popular. Minnesota is the only state that still sells 3.2 beer.

When lower alcohol beers were rebranded as Light or Lite beers, and sold as a healthier alternative to regular beer, sales skyrocketed. The problem is that most of these beers are produced using rice as well as barley malt. Furthermore, the brew is diluted with water to the final ABV level. Thus, they just do not have the appropriate balance of barley malt and hops that characterizes a great beer.

I rarely drink beer, but when I do, I want it to be a real beer made from malt and hops whether it is a German Lager, an English Ale, an Irish Stout or American craft beer modeled after these traditional styles.

We have several “craft beer breweries “ here in my area and they are flooded with young folks. I’m not a fan of it myself, when I was an under age teen my buddies and I drank Schlitz malt liquor bull, it was horrible but we got drunk then sick, every weekend, lol. When I turned 18 I was legal to buy beer, I got attached to Budweiser and switched to Bud light thinking I was better for me, lol. So over 40 years with the Budweiser family, but no more. I’ve got others I can deal with, lol!

Round? That usually doesn't have any fat. Did you add tallo when you wrapped?
