My Costco Century 22 is just over 7 years old. For the last few months, the hopper has been smoking during a cook. It's not a back burn, as I have emptied the hopper after a cook and it looks normal. Any thoughts?

Cooking bacon wrapped shrimp tonight!

Have you checked the exhaust vent to make sure creosote has not built up over the past 7 years?

Can you hear the fan turning?
Almost seems like it isn't circulating if it isn't back burning

I'll check. I'm pulling it out of commission this weekend. The left edge that holds up the drip pan is rusting through. Poor design. While's its out of the lineup, I will take it apart and finally replace the fire pot and igniter and weld or bolt on a new ridge for upper end of the drip pan.

Will be assembling the Members Mark unit I bought a while ago and getting it on the BBQ patio today.

I wish I'd gotten in on that one... I procrastinated and, well, 'loser'

Good luck buddy

What y’all talking about?
