Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a Pro Series 22 but I want to use it on a stone countertop. Has anyone tried removing the legs and using it like this? Do you think it is possible and will it cause any airflow or other issues? I have watched assembly videos and it looks like it will sit flat without the legs. Can someone with one of these please have a look for me and see what they think?

In a Traeger grill, most of the airflow comes in through the bottom of the pellet box and is blown into the firebox by the variable speed fan. Thus, as long as the bottom of the pellet box is not blocked, you should be OK.

If there is insufficient clearance above the stone countertop, you could always use a few bricks or other non-combustible material to raise the grill until there is sufficient clearance.

Also remember that the power cord for the grill is plugged into the bottom of the pellet box. Be sure you have sufficient clearance to reach in to plugin or unplug the cord. If you accidently pull on the cord, it can loosen making you think the controller has failed.

Thanks for the advice! I can overhang the pellet box over the side of my countertop, should fix both issues.
