I have enjoyed my pro series 22 since 2017. The controller failed during warranty 2 years ago and was replaced under warranty. Recently the controller failed again. Traeger customer support offered to sell me a replacement for about $150 inc. shipping. I was quite surprised, I thought the warranty for the part would be the same as the grill. Guess not, replacment parts only have a one year warranty. After multiple discussion with multiple levels of supervisors and managers they agreed to reduce the price and shipp for free. During theses discussions I learned that more than twice a week is high use, the grill needs to be covered or stored inside. It appears that Traeger isn't really interested in any further discussion. I'm not interested in spending $150 for a product that may only last two years. PID contollers of this type should be much more durable for the application. I offered to help them with a specification or to connect them with someone that could. I've noted quite a few threads that discuss replacing the Traeger controller with after market contollers. Does anyone in the community have a recommended controller supplier?
