PRO 34 Temp Issue

I have a Pro34 that is about 5 years old. No matter what I set the temp I to the grill temp spikes about 75 degrees higher that what I set it to and then drops between 50 & 75 degrees below the set temp and then keeps repeating this up & down fluctuation. I have replaced the controller and the temperature sensor probe in the grill. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. Steve

Did you replace your controller with another Pro series controller?
Also are you using traeger pellets?

Hi there, I have a pro 34 about the same age....inspect your fire pot. If it has some extra holes it can/will cause all manner of temperature issues. The irregular shaped hole is where it is burnt through. 2nd picture is what it should look like. I just replaced mine, for the 2nd time. If you need one Traeger Support will send you a new one for less than 25 bucks.
