Have a Pro 34 and it’s about a month old. Grill won’t go above 390 at best but usually bounced between 365-70. Replaced controller, induction fan and internal temp probe. Still same issues. Anyone else have this problem or ideas as to what it may be? Thanks

What are you using to measure your grill temp???

You should use a 3rd party probe to make sure you are reading the right temp.

Another thing is pellets, what are you using?

PRO 34 is non wifire

Non-WiFIRE-enabled grills have a temperature setting called HIGH. You may notice that when you set your grill to HIGH, the controller blinks 450°F (232°C).

Note that the HIGH setting's temperature ranges between 425 - 450°F (218 - 232°C). If your grill is in this range, it is functioning as expected. However, if your grill is set to HIGH and is below this designated range, please continue reading.

COLD WEATHER

Traeger grills are designed to maintain cooking temperatures even through freezing temperatures. Although cold weather won't affect your grilling ability, it will increase your grill's pellet consumption. Ensure you check on the pellet level throughout your cook to ensure you never run out of pellets. Running low on pellets, even for a few minutes, can cause temperature dips or swings. For even easier pellet monitoring, check out our pellet sensor article.

If you are often grilling in cold weather and would like to save on pellets, an insulation blanket might be a great fit for you and your grill.

Appreciate you taking the time. Using the controller read out along with a third party digital thermometer laying on the grate. The temp difference is about 15 degrees apart, which is fine but still to low.

I’m using pot boss pellets at the moment but had the same issue with traeger brand pellets towards the end of the stock.

I understand that 450 is not the actual temp it will hit and 425 is acceptable. Still not even hitting 400

Cold weather hasn’t been an issue as we I am down south and haven’t run the thing in any less then 55-60 degree weather.

Okay

thought maybe you’d like an update to possibly help others. The issue was definitely the pellets. Pit boss and other non traeger brands don’t seem to burn as hot. Used traeger brand after a full clean out and it hit 420 no issues on a chilly/windy day. Definitely get what you pay for in my opinion

after a full clean out
Maybe it was that the whole time, I'd have a hard time thinking everyone here who doesn't use Traeger pellets and gets 500° is having an issue.
