Traeger 780
Had my 780 Pro for around 3 years with zero issues. Plugged it in today and no power. The light on the on off switch is not lighting up. I plugged it into 2 different outlets directly and nothing. I tested the outlets with my air compressor and they worked. Any reset/fuses on these things I can check? Or other common issues. I unplugged and plug the power cord into the unit a couple times, hopefully there’s a simple issue I can take care of.

Might have just been a glitch. I’ve unplugged it and now lugged it back in a couple times, flipped the switch a few times and it lit up. Hopefully just something loose somewhere

One issue that gets many owners(including me) is the design of the power connector. The connector at the grill is on the bottom of the pellet hopper where it is "out of sight, out of mind". While that is great for helping the grill withstand a rain storm rain, if anything pulls on the cord, it can come loose at the connection. Make sure the cable is plugged securely into the connector under the hopper. I wrap my cable around the leg of the grill a couple of times to act as a strain relief.

I have mentioned this before, but here it is again. Consider investing in a locking power cord. It is very annoying when that it comes loose easily and the locking cord solves the problem cleanly:
So this plugs into the Traeger and the Traeger cord…..and the Traeger cord goes into the outlet (or extension cord). Is that right?

It replaces the Traeger cord which you don't need anymore. Connect it with an extension cord to your outlet.

Hopefully the loose cord connection into the Traeger’s power supply was your issue. This happened to me on my second cook before I built the hut for my smokers. I was rolling it out and luckily after trying it plugged into an extension cord as I unplugged it the other end fell down. Now although I hardly move it around since I built the hut I’ll remember if it happens again.
