Hi Guys. I just purchased and put together my new Traeger Tailgater. Installation went well except for I do not know what to do with all the excess wiring connecting the pellet box to the tempurature reader inside the grill. Please view the picture of excess wiring and let me know what to do with this. Can i stuff it between the pellet box and grill? WIll that be too hot?

I do not have a Tailgater, but since no Tailgater owners have responded, I thought I would offer my 2 cents on the matter.

The thermocouple wire should be designed to handle high heat. However, the other wires might not be. The area between the pellet box and the grill is going to get rather hot, so it would be best not to store excess wires in that area.

I would suggest you try to gather the excess wire into the area near the controller module and use a wire tie to keep them secure. Make sure they are not going to contact any moving parts.

They are insulated. Just stuff them in the space provided between the hopper and the barrel. They are designed to be long so in the event you have to remove the hopper for service of any kind there is enough slack to allow you to physically be able to do so.
