Winterpeg...😉 I lived there a few decades ago.
Enjoy your grill. Hopefully you have a place/shelter where you can still use it during the winter months

There are folks up in Canada who continue to use their Traegers even with temperatures well below freezing. The Timberline should be insulated enough to do this. Just make sure the hopper is filled with dry chips.

Yeah, I get that, especially having lived in Canada all my life and in Winnipeg for 30 of those years. We live with what we were given and made the best of. Winter months are for spendingtime with family and friends. When the propane froze and gas BBQs wouldn'tstatt, we used charcoal grills. When the water froze, we cut holes in it to fish. Plugging the cars in so they'll start, battery warmers and block heaters. Whatever it takes.
A Winnipeger will understand what i was referring to, just like standing at Portage and Main...
Winnipeg just gets a bad reputation in Canada for being the coldest major city. People in Saskatchewan may argue that point. Canadians are a hardy bunch and have a will to find a way to do what needs to be done regardless of the weather.

Well, as the world warms the most arable land moves North. Also, as water shortages spread (I am not sure many people know that the mighty Mississippi has practically dried up this year), places with lots of fresh water become attractive. Canada (including Winnipeg!) may be where the future is in North America!

The Mississippi River might be at low levels in many places this year, but don't count on it staying this way. There have been several major floods over the past 20 years. The last major flood was in 2019; it lasted almost 8 months.
