1300 D1
Hi all, i have the 1300 D1 and was looking to see if any one has done more than the typical 16 racks of ribs at once. Looking at doing 21 racks by using some rib racks. Looking for ideas. I am cooking for 60 people for work.

Thanks in advance.

Started out great, went to spritz with apple juice and it poured out some and caused a grease fire. I was able to make it though and only lost about 15 mins.

Ribs came out great and I had no complaints.

Advice would be to make sure your drip liner is flat and will flow to the gutter unabated. that was my biggest mistake.

I will most likley not do 21 racks again though. I would cut it down to 15-18.

Welcome to the forum @Carran - That's probably the most meat I've ever seen in a T1300! What was the total cook time for all that?

I Started at 6:30 AM and put BBQ sauce on at about 10:00 AM and was in the keep warm mode at about 10:45. I left them on keep warm for about 30 to 40 mins before i left for the party.

They cooked great. I had no one complain. I personally did not think they would be good due to the grease fire but i was able to pull them off quickly with little burn damage. It can be done but i should have paid more attention to the grease flow. Really my only mistake.
