Hi guys, still quite new to the traeger world, im getting some great results, but looking for advice, having people over for christmas, and want to do 5 split chickens on my 780 pro, advice on cooking time? being that im used to doing one? would i need to move them around for even cooking?? any advice appreciated, thanks in advance...

As long as you keep some space between your chickens during the cook, each one will cook in the same manner as it would if you cooked one. The only difference is that you might burn more pellets, but the cook time will be similar. Cooking 5 chickens weighing 3 pounds each will take about the same time as cooking one, while cooking a 15# turkey will take much longer.

Always be sure to cook to a final internal temperature as measured in each piece of chicken. If you see some pieces cooking faster than others, you might need to rotate positions during the cook.

Thank you, exactly the advice I was looking for!!

I would definitely be ready to temp each one throughout the cook. Even if your grill cooked at exactly the same temp from one end to the other, each piece of meat is different and will cook slightly different. Odds of them all finishing up at the exact same time is pretty slim.
