Lil Tex / Weber Spirit
Howdy folks, new Trager owner here in Missoula, Montana. After eating food off them for years, ive always wanted one, but couldnt justify replacing my Weber gas grill. I actually come up with an older, decent conditioned Lil Tex for free last week! Local guy was moving out of state, and couldn't take it with him, so i scooped it up! Got'er home, cleaned it up a bit, and it works well! Did some salmon on it the first night, and it was awesome. Can't wait for the weekend to try something with a longer smoke time. Ordered a different controller to try to fine tune stuff for more flexibility, that should be here today, so we'll see how that goes. Looking forward to learning a lot here, thanks!

Also, please don't judge my mess of a back deck. I'm waiting for a shipping container to get delivered up to my property so those solar panels (under the blue tarp) and the rest of it can get squirreled away up there!

Welcome, which controller did you order?
Just this guy off Amazon. I guess it just showed up at the house, and I'm off early today, so it may be install day?

Don’t forget the drip bucket or you’ll stain your porch. Don’t ask me how I know

Oh, I would imagine! Luckily this guy came with a drip bucket, but it needed cleaned out really bad. I did that and put in one of the tinfoil liners. Problem solved. I also got the new controller installed, and it is a game changer.
